Is there a running group you could join? That's a great way to meet new peeps. Most running groups have a wide variety of speeds so don't be afraid of trying it out. When is your race?
portiahttp://profile.typepad.com/runportiarunnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7344541164954459033.post-74366364645029343442013-09-23T05:59:25.000-04:002013-09-23T05:59:25.000-04:00Interesting to hear about the differences between ...Interesting to hear about the differences between west & east coast. I think that can be even further broken down into regions like Northwest, Northeast, etc, as well- and those differ a lot too! I found Southern California folks to be opportunistic- in everyday life as well as on the road. I've heard of these "Massholes" while living in central VT and can concur! I was wondering what you felt about making such a huge move to a totally different city, but it sounds as if you've lived there (or near there) before and have a little bit of a social network. Any advice for that? I'm currently living in a different country (Canada) and have been feeling really isolated. As far as running, I've been doing Podrunner's "Couch to 5K" training to get back on my feet and train for the Color me Rad 5k in October. It's too easy, but I wanted to be gentle on myself as I just started getting back into it. Thanks for the posts- I really enjoy your blog! :)
Stephanie Morningstarhttp://deeperintotheworld.blogspot.ca/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7344541164954459033.post-85996771438760923762013-09-18T14:13:08.000-04:002013-09-18T14:13:08.000-04:00Glad you are enjoying it, and back to running in t...Glad you are enjoying it, and back to running in the 20's!
Pittsburgh drivers blow, and I myself, have road rage. :P
Kristyhttp://pghrunner.comnoreply@blogger.com
